This week's news

This week, I covered the news about the retirement age in Japan, which is my debate topic.  Daito Kentaku, a major Japanese company, has decided to introduce a selective retirement age system until the age of 65. Now it is a 60-year-old retirement age, but from next year, it seems that you will be able to choose when to retirement between the ages of 60 and 65. As the number of workers is decreasing, it seems that one of the goals is to propose a flexible way of working for veterans and secure workers.   I think it's a good system.  Because they have the right to decide on their own, both employers and workers can work within a reasonable range by working according to their own circumstances. It is believed that the social security system will be damaged if the number of workers continues decline for a long time, so I thought that it was a very big step for Japan that major companies came up with such a policy. This week's news

This week I saw a very hot news story. It seems that Myakumyaku, the main character of the Osaka Expo, is having a good advertising effect. At first, I saw a lot of mixed reactions due to Miyakumyaku's unique design, but now it seems to be so popular that it is selling out in every shop. In addition, Myakumyaku is said to be further increasing its sales by collaborating with other popular characters.  I think that Miyakumyaku is a very clever business strategy. It attracts people's attention with its unique design, and by collaborating with a popular character, it creates an effect that makes people who like that character want to get their hands on it. I believe the economic impact of the Osaka Expo, including Miyaku Myaku, will be huge for Japan. This week's news

I saw some very devastating news this week: the armed conflict between Iran and Israel is escalating. The death toll on the Iranian side has already reached 200. And Israel is targeting Iranian energy facilities. Energy is now essential for life, so the consequences will be immeasurable. While the attention has been focused on Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Trump's tariffs in recent times, there are still many issues facing the international community. I believe that we need to solve these issues one by one. Reference:  https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/21faabfd4c98cf436e3fe489297bf01a049b9700

This week's news

I found some surprising news. Due to the recent rise in prices, some places are now selling popular takoyaki without the octopus. That's very sad, and can we even call it takoyaki? According to the article, they substitute octopus with sausage. I too have noticed an increase in prices recently when shopping. As this article states, I am very concerned about the rising prices of food items such as eggs and octopus.  Refference:  https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/8a87b3711b4eacdfba495fd9cc5a43e030706d05

This week's news

This week is about customer harassment. Recently, various harassment has become a hot topic, and among them, customer harassment is new. This refers to the customer's unreasonable demands and rants to the clerk. The other day, there was customer harassment at a store in Kyoto. A customer who complained about the product asked the clerk to shave his hair and made him do it. This is a very terrible incident. The government has prepared various manuals to protect against such incidents. I think that's a good thing. On the other hand, on the contrary, I think it is necessary to take care so that customers are not able to shop satisfactorily.
